I need to read more. Internet reading doesn't count, lol. It seems the only time I catch up on reading is when I'm on a plane going to/from my vacation destination.

Maybe if you read the ending first, then you won't be disappointed :) I don't like sad endings.

I LOVED this story! I was literally laughing out loud. To think your bedroom grate was right above the fridge...and how sneaky you were! It brings back memories AND makes me think of my own sneaky 8-year old. hahaha GREAT writing, Josey!

Hi Josey,

I do understand what you mean. Maybe this is just a season for sticking with the Word.

I did really enjoy Blue Like Jazz. The author is very authentic about his own doubts and about things in the church that he doesn't really jive with. It was both honest and redeeming. I found it to be faith-strengthening. :)

Just keep it in mind for a time when you want to venture into Christian books again. It'll still be there!

heya, starshine!! yes, lemony snicket is a supercool pen name :D i'm considering one for myself should i ever become a published author!

i havent read Blue Like Jazz. soooo i just popped over to Amazon and read the synopsis and some reviews. it sounds like it could be the kind of book you either love or hate! did you enjoy it and what would be your review? :)

i've tended to stay away from almost all religious books lately, except my Bible. i donno, i'm goin thru this weerd phase of being too easily swayed by one opinion and have been hoping that somehow God just tells me what i need to know by reading HIS word. not that i have anything against other books! i'm just at a point in my life where i'm doubting and grappling, and reading my Bible feels safest. does that make sense? i'm rambling! LOL!!
