this is where i’ll post food logs, weigh-ins, any exercise i manage to do, and all sorts of other health-related goodies.
i’ll also discuss my endometriosis a lot more here, too, along with talking in more depth about what i’m doing to heal.
and of course, please provide as much accountability as you feel compelled. LOL! =)
some general info:
- i use fitday.com’s software to track my food. the food logs you see are simply a “print screen” i’ve cropped from fitday. just click on the thumbnail to see it full-size :)
- almost all food i eat is organic—especially fruits, veggies and nuts. during the growing season, i get much of my produce from a local organic, biodynamic farm or my own garden.
- all meat and eggs i eat is/are raised locally and humanely, with no antibiotics, and fed organic food and pasture.
- i drink a small amount of kombucha or homemade chicken bone broth before almost every meal to aid in digestion.
- by the advice of my naturopath, i am slowly implementing a blood-type diet along with special considerations for my endometriosis. for both, there are certain foods i should avoid in order to feel my best.
- my current weight loss goal is 10% of my starting weight in december of 2006, which was 220. therefore, my first goal is to reach 198! i weigh in on thursdays :)
- i actually have another weight loss goal—to reach 195 by april 30th! and an even more challenging goal of 190 by april 30th if i can do it!

gosh, it seems like its been eons since i checked in! hehe! things have been going mostly well. i’ve had a few hang-ups with fast food (i know, i know!!) but that’s been the worst of it.
tomorrow’s my weigh-in. as of today, im 203! the ticker up there (scroll up!) is obviously not correct; that was my lowest weight during my cleanse. i kept it there so i could motivate myself…or sprout (you know, like they do in euchre with the score cards in hopes of scoring? hehe!)…but tomorrow i’ll officially update it!

okay, lest you start believing i have a total will of steel, i’ll have you know i had subway for supper tonite. LOL!!! i did well tho—roasted chix breast with lots of veggies. while normally i wont eat wheat at all—i just NEEDED to eat some “comfort” food without going overboard. (no DQ or BK for me, intrepid! hehe!)
hubby was gone for the nite at a basketball game in milwaukee, and i just didnt feel like eating salad alone. >;)

i’m a bit blah tonite—i’m getting antsy to start eating more substantial foods again. i hate it when i get in “food moods…” i’m a super big whiner and many times it sets me off into a rut of binges! fortunately i’m adhering strictly to my cleanse—otherwise i’d have had a chocolate extreme blizzard from DQ today and maybe a whopper jr from BK! LOL!
i told hubby tonite that if it werent for me blogging this, i dont think i would have made it past day 3 or 4 if that. this has really kept me accountable!

well the sneezing continues…random still, but im hoping tomorrow is better. if i have one more day of blowing my trumpet im gonna look like rudolph! LOL!!
this morning for breakfast i had .5c kefir with raw honey mixed in and a hugemongous plum! the book calls for 1T raw honey but i maybe used 2/3 of a T. and it made the kefir almost too sweet for me! plus the plum was quite sweet so i felt like my breakfast was very carby. lol. that was at 8amish and by my next meal at 10:30am i wasnt feeling too hungry yet. so that’s a good sign!! =D
the bad thing is that within 30 minutes of eating brekky …

sorry i didnt get around to posting yesterday—i started, but ended up getting busy! so here’s day 7’s recap :)
it was absolute HEAVEN! it was in the 60s and hubby and i cleaned the garage and put in all the window screens (our windows are weird! lol.). so finally, fresh air flowing thru the house! the cats went wild. hehe. today will be a repeat, too. i’m loving the zingy feelings i’m getting from warm sunshine and the fresh spring breeze!

tonite i got to have a salad! and you know what? all MORNING i was excited about it. this afternoon, i just wasnt that hungry. in fact, i could have skipped my 3:30 soup and been fine until suppertime. i suppose my body is getting used to the low calories!?

day four has been spectacular! yes, strange to say, half-way thru a cleanse isnt it? hehe! NO CRAVINGS today. that has been the best part!
i definitely was not tired today. in fact, i did a little spring cleaning in the bedroom today! that was nice. now everything is (98%) pet-hair free (including the curtains! LOL), clean sheets and a springy comforter, and i moved the bed to a different wall. now its fresh and clean and i love it!

i had water with lemon to drink…no appetizer…did not even TOUCH the piece of bread that came with my salad…AND the salad was scrumptious! …

seriously, i set a timer after each time i ate so i could watch the time count down til my next meal. hahaha! sad, i know, sad. but hey—i made it thru without cheating and without complication! and i even ran to the grocery store today. wow! no nibbles of anything.
